Rated 1 out of 5 by Hipmom from faint scent I liked the smell of this candle before lighting, but while burning, it emits almost no discernible fragrance. Only if you are standing directly over it, can you smell it. I burned the large jar about 1/4 down and finally decided to try Yankee's return policy - took it back into the store and I was able to easily exchange it for another large jar candle (I got Celebrate Christmas, which seems to have a stronger scent). This was not my first time disappointed in a Yankee candle, but was my first time trying their return policy, so at least I can say that aspect of it was really good. This candle just did not have nearly enough scent to be worth the $.

While I don't get all of the described fragrance notes, this is an amazing blend of apple, spices & sweetness. Perfect for either autumn or Christmas. This scent is a keeper! The strongest notes are the apple and the cinnamon, but the clove is definitely there too and there's depth to the blend. Now if they'll only fix the jar labels, I'd absolutely get the full size of this one. Why did they have to totally ruin the beautiful photography with that giant white price-tag-like logo smack in the the middle of all the pretty pictures? So tacky! We know it's a Yankee Candle, no need to scream about it.

I recently starting burning 3 at the same time in different areas of my house & I'm not sure what happened but the flame on these were huge. I trimmed the wicks before the initial burn but within in an hour the flames were out of control, seriously. I had to put out all 3/let cool/re trim and light again. Same thing....huge flames w/light smoke. I finally had to quit burning them and changed to a different scent. I would give this 5 stars for the scent but as for burning no way!!! I've never had a problem burning YC but for some reason these 3 were awful.

It's got the sweet apple smell with with that light fresh wreath scent. It's a delightful pleasant mix. I think goes lovely with any of the holiday shades and sets. I added my new jar to my winter birds crackle set. This s a wonderful fresh holiday aroma.

Upon cold sniff I smelled mostly sweet apple with hints of cinnamon. It reminded me of Macintosh. But when it was lit, the cinnamon really came through. I could also pick up the mellow scent of walnuts underneath. It really helped even out the spicy apple scent. A friend came over and asked what I had been baking all day! I would say this candle is scented in the medium range of throw, capable of scenting a large room.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Fragrance Lover me from Scent not as strong, wick splits [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Very nice, not too sweet but smells like Christmas. I've bought it for many years but I think this new and improved version isn't quite as strong as the previous one. More importantly, the wick splits. It's not my trimming of it and it's the 3rd candle I've had that's done it. Because of previous ones, I paid close attention to the wick before I lit it and noticed it's twisted. The unfortunate result is that it produces more smoke, leaving behind a lot of soot around my candle shade, and presumably in the air. Seems like a problem that occurs occasionally with the new candles that definitely needs to be corrected.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jedh from Disappointed I have been a HUGE YC fan for years... but more and more I am getting candles with not nearly enough scent for the price. Red Apple Wreath has always been one of my favorites, but this is 2 in a row that has almost no noticable scent. I hate to stop buying them, but for the money, they should throw a fragrance that is noticable, and the quality has definitely deteriorated. I'm disappointed.

I use to burn the candle for my kitchen and living room for every time after I finished my cooking meal , it’s smell great for my whole house . I love to buy the big yankee candle 22oz , it’s last all the way to the last drop and really safe with great thick glass jar not easy to break and the jar didn’t get hot when burn it and smell great when burn it up until done but the scent still smells good last long in the day . The Yankees candke didn’t make black soot on my wall or ceiling , just when flame was done and it looks a bit black soot in the jar but I can clean it out .
