Rated 5 out of 5 by from Woody and soothing I had previously been disappointed with this candle as it had smelled beautifully on cold sniff but hardly anything when burning. However, having moved to a much more airy house I find all my Yankee Candles have a better throw than they did previously. I decided to give this candle a second chance as I do love it as a car jar and reed diffuser. This time, the candle's scent carried beautifully and filled my downstairs with a woody, soothing scent. If you find that the scent doesn't carry, try moving it around to somewhere with more air flow - I've definitely found that the placement in a room has a significant effect on the throw.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Very Disappointing. No Scent Throw! We have purchase YC's for decades and recently have noticed that many of the candles have extremely limited to no scent throw. Many times, after a day of a candle burning, we forget it was light, as we smell nothing from it. The candle sits about 3 feet from me, as it burns, in a 10x12ft room with 8ft ceilings. Its like YC puts a small layer of scent on the top of the candle, so you can smell it in the store and just plain old colored wax below. I don't get it, as they use to burn with such a great scent throw. I fear this is a cost cutting measure. It is such a downer to buy and look forward to burning a candle and get nothing from it.

Please Do Yourself A Favor And Buy One Or Two, And Relax While Smelling This Candle! Also, Got A Great Deal With The Semi-Annual Sale & Points By Being A Yankee Candle Family Member, Plus A Free Birthday Candle For Myself! So Whoo Hoo! Thank You, Yankee Candle For The Gift! It Truly Is The Little Things In Life That Make A Crappy Day Better!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Lovely scent but weak throw [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had a few candles of this scent and I do love the way they smell! Lavender is one of my favorite scents generally and I love woody, earthy scents as well, so this was right up my alley! As usual with yankee candle, this scent burned well and lasted a long time. My one complaint is the throw is not great- I have found that with many yankee candles recently, if you aren’t right next to the candle or it is in a small space, it is not super noticeable. It’s not like you can’t smell it at all, but definitely not as strong as I would like.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Fantastic! Not just for fall/winter! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked this scent on first sniff and I loved it on first burn. A little woodsy, a little clean floral, bordering on a fireside fragrance. It is warm without being cloying. Unlike some other reviewers, I thought the throw was quite good. When I go to another floor and come back, I can smell it a room away. I think this is a great all day scent for fall/winter and I think it would be lovely as a night time fragrance for spring/summer. A new favorite and I hope it becomes part of the permanent collection!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Lack of scent I’ve stocked up recently whilst they were on sale and have a mix of different scents. They smell beautiful in the jar but that’s where it ends unfortunately. My previous Yankee Candles filled the room with scent within half an hour of lighting. These? You’re lucky to get a whiff after a few hours. Despite being kept alight for four or five hours they are tunnelling badly. And when you blow them out the wicks smoke very badly so you’re left with a long lasting smell. Extremely disappointed and will no longer be buying YC unless they change . Sadly having looked at recent reviews I see it’s a common complaint nowadays. A great shame as they used to be a lovely product .

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not a lasting smell As a big fan of Yankee products I was very disappointed with the fragrance of this particular candle. I have burnt it for 2 nights now and the fragrance is just not there sadly. When taking the lid off i noticed the top of the candle was very crystallised but still went ahead and lit it, as with previous candles by leaving the lid off during the day the fragrance still hangs in the air, not with this one, it won't stop me buying Yankee products I just wanted to give an honest review on this particular fragrance.

I suffer from anxiety and depression and would recommend this to all of those who suffer from anxiety and depression and other mental challenges. I would think this would also be calming for babies and children with autism and people in demanding professions who need to relax at the end of the day.. Dear Yankee Candle- I wish your scentalicious tall Chesapeake Bay foggy jar candle scents were repeated in the see through Large Jar Yankee Candles. Just a suggestion!
